16.03.11 - Scotland's Marine Atlas has now been published by the government. It is an assessment of the condition of Scotland's seas and will be used to inform the national marine plan as well as to implement the Marine Strategy Framework Directive. There is a section on the Firth of Clyde.

13.02.11 - Hopes for new John Muir coast-to-coast trail in Scotland. The proposed route runs from Dunbar in East Lothian to Greenock on the Firth of Clyde, it is hoped this route will rival the already established West Highland Way and the Southern Upland Way. To find out more click here.

23.11.10 - Marine Scotland are currently consulting on, Scottish Marine Regions - defining their boundaries. This consultation sets out examples that exist currently for dividing the sea into regions and discusses the possible approaches to identifying Scottish marine regions for marine planning purposes. 13.9.10 - The Green Blue 2010 Annual Conference is being held in Glasgow on the 9th of October. The conference is aimed at anyone who works within the marine industries including marinas and boatyards, both inland and coastal. 24.8.10 - A Clyde and Loch Lomond cycle ride has been included as one of the top 10 short bike rides in Britain. It is perfect for cyclists who like to take it easy and where navigation is straightforward, the route runs from Bowling to Dumbarton and on to Balloch. Click here to see the full article.

16.7.10 - Have you seen an Otter in the Clyde Estuary? Sightings of Otters in the Inner Clyde Estuary have been rare over the last 10 years, however we have recently received a report of an Otter in Loch Long near Clove Bay.
