Plan Consultation
The consultation on the Draft Firth of Clyde Marine Spatial Plan and associated Draft SEA Environment Report closed on Friday the 26th of June 2009. We are grateful to all who have submitted their views. In the coming weeks the project team will be collating and analysing all the comments received. A report will be produced summarising the comments and giving our response to them. This report will be used in developing the revised Plan. The consultation report will be published on this website and copies will be sent to all who have submitted comments.
Draft Firth of Clyde Marine Spatial Plan
The Firth of Clyde Marine Spatial Plan (the Plan) establishes an overarching policy framework to facilitate the sustainable development of activities within the Firth of Clyde. The Plan has been in development since 2006 with the emphasis on consultation with stakeholders at all stages. This document represents an innovative approach to marine planning, based on Scottish Ministers’ commitment to making marine management more efficient, inclusive and accessible now and for future generations.
SEA: Environment Report
The Plan has been subject to Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) under Section 5 (3) of the Environment Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005. The full Environment Report of the SEA is available to download here. A Non-Technical summary that sets out the purpose, methods and findings of the SEA, which has informed the development of a draft Firth of Clyde Marine Spatial Plan can be viewed here.
